Gary Claxton served 16
years as an Investigator, Senior Investigator, and Acting Field
Office Director for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Region II
Office of Investigations. On several occasions during that time,
Mr. Claxton was appointed as lead investigator for politically sensitive
or complex investigations in other regions.
Prior to his employment
with the NRC, Mr. Claxton served 9 years as a Special Agent with
the FBI. Among other responsibilities, he was involved with foreign
counterintelligence matters, psychological profiling and agent training.
After his service with the NRC, Mr. Claxton was employed four years with Investigative Solutions, Inc., a private investigations and consulting group specializing in corporate and white collar crime investigations. During his time with ISI, Mr. Claxton was assigned to regulatory matters including investigations on behalf of nuclear utilities. Regulatory Consultants, LLC, was begun in 2006 in order to devote full time to consulting with the nucear industry.
